PHYSICAL AFFECTION: YES, but this is probably going to depend a lot. i think of John as someone who's never really had much in the way of affection (dysfunctional home life and seeming jealous of the family Bobby had) and so he takes whatever he can from people who don't really care or love him. sex is a different story obviously but hugs, hand holding, gentle and caring touches etc. are not really anything he's had much of in the genuine sense. he doesn't pull away from it but he doesn't necessarily feel anything from it a lot of the time either.

PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: YES, John can fight with both fire and fists and i'm sure has had his fair share of playground fights in his time thanks to his being a bit of a punk. he's more confidant in his using his mutation to manipulate fire than physical combat as i don't think of him as a fighter by any means. that being said, he can probably easily get his ass handed to him but he'll still throw a punch at you if he has to.

RELATIONSHIPS: YES, but with a few things to note here. John's a bit of a ~bad boy~ and so he can be a little difficult to get close to beyond shallow surface level hookups. he's prone to taking off at times and has difficulty in thinking himself worth anyone's care or commitment thanks to his apparent dysfunctional home life. that all being said, i'm completely open to the whole ~bad boy~ and good girl/boy trope but also look for those who can give him that feeling of being wanted and needed and like he's not alone for once in his life. then again, i'm also open to exploring dysfunctional relationships given that's what he's used to and knows (sadly) but feel free to discuss that route with me as i know it's not everyone's thing and i respect that.

FLIRTING/SEXUAL CONTENT: YES, x-men and ages are forever a big ol' ???? a lot of the time (thanks marvel) but i slide him between 18-21 usually, the latter being post X3. he's ~the bad boy~, can be a shameless flirt when he's in the mood, and absolutely up for having a bit of fun. if you're looking for sweet slow romance, however, John is not the guy for you. i can do fade to black for smut if that's more your style or write it out, just lmk what you prefer. as a personal preference, i'm trash for filth and UST between him and whoever. 💦

MIND READING: YES, he's not a telepath and has no way of blocking his mind from them. just let me know ahead that he's being mind fingered and i can toss in what he's got on his mind in the tag. anything that could be triggering will be marked accordingly if it comes up.

DEATH: YES, why not. either John being the one biting the bullet or dealing with someone close to him biting the bullet. discussing this obviously needed beforehand however just so we're on the same page for this heartache.

SHIPPING: YES, m/m or m/f idrc to be honest. faves are Bobby and Rogue (i'm also down for some ot3 shenanigans there) but i'm open to others from the xmcu and other mediums. 18+ is all i really ask and i don't mind John being the older or younger one. crosscanon ships are also A+ too.

ETC:
─ i'm only familiar with the xmcu, 90s animated cartoon, and x-men evolution when it comes to x-men media. comics is a complete ??? to me a lot of the time so just be aware of that if you're comics and wanting to do something with John.
─ crosscanon and assumed cr are always a-ok for me.
─ because it's x-men, i'm completely open and willing to have John against younger!Charles, younger!Erik, or any of the younger!X-Men from First Class, Apocalypse, etc. messing with timelines is a thing in this franchise.
─ i'm totally open to doing what ifs and au's with him where he didn't leave with Magneto or did but comes back or ends up coming across the others in the distant future.
